This Privacy Policy explains how The Sesh collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the platform.

Information we collect

We may collect account information such as email address, username, display name, profile details, preferences, saved products, check-ins, ratings, reviews, follows, reports, and contact form messages.

Analytics and sponsor reporting

The Sesh uses Vercel Web Analytics and may collect basic interaction events such as page views, product views, sponsored placement impressions, sponsored placement clicks, website clicks, menu clicks, and search activity. These events help us improve the platform and provide aggregated campaign reporting. Sponsor reports should be aggregated and should not sell personal user-level data.

Google Analytics is optional and remains disabled unless you select Allow analytics. When allowed, Google Analytics may collect information about visits, traffic sources, device and browser characteristics, approximate location, and site interactions. Google advertising personalization signals are disabled in our current configuration. You can choose Necessary only or change your selection later through Cookie Settings in the site footer.

Cookies and local storage

The Sesh uses necessary browser storage to remember age verification, account sessions, and your analytics preference. If you allow Google Analytics, Google may set analytics cookies such as _ga to distinguish visits. Choosing Necessary only disables Google Analytics and removes its cookies where the browser permits us to do so.

Location information

If you use dispensary locator features, your browser may ask for permission to use your location. Location access is used to help show nearby dispensaries. You can deny or disable location access in your browser or device settings.

How we use information

We use information to operate the platform, personalize profiles and feeds, display check-ins, power badges and XP, improve discovery features, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, maintain platform safety, and understand aggregate product and brand engagement.

Public profile information

Some information may be visible to other users when your profile is public, including username, display name, bio, public check-ins, badges, follows, and other community activity.

Service providers

The Sesh may use service providers such as Vercel, Supabase, Google Analytics, and Google Workspace for hosting, authentication, database storage, analytics, security, email, and support workflows. These providers process information only as needed to support the platform.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate The Sesh, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Users may request changes or deletion where applicable.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service is perfectly secure. Please use a strong password and avoid posting sensitive personal information publicly.

Children

The Sesh is not intended for children or underage users. Accounts that appear to be underage may be restricted or removed.
